Schedule Impact and Revenue Recovery:

Record keeping is critical for schedule impacting claims. In the absence of good record keeping, access to critical milestone events that are outside of the contractual responsibility of the claimant is necessary. Such milestone events include permit issue dates, owner's vendor delivery dates and performance competency. We will conduct an exhaustive research to determine the resources that are available to assist with your recovery process. Recovery types may include any of the following - Cost of Staff, Additional Resource Rentals and Labor Escalations.

Material Escalation:

Construction materials are commodities with fluctuating costs. Adjustments to expected start dates can have unexpected and severe impacts on the cost of a project before a notice to proceed has been issued. Benchmarking your material costs with the proposal date, we will assist you in determining the value of material escalations.

Loss of Productivity:

An impacted scedule creates multiple residual effects downstream. We will track the root cause and demonstrate the effect on your productivity and profitability. Our interviews with your staff will provide insights as to what tools are available to demonstrate the magnitude of the damages you have incurred.

The Claims Management Process:

We use the following processes to manage your claims:

  • Communication Review.
    Our base service includes reviewing all email and hard copy communications between all stakeholders to determine the root causes of the project events. The information gathered from our review will be used to:
    • Create a timeline of events.
    • Produce a report documenting the events.
    • Estrapolate associated cost impacts.
  • Schedule Analysis.
    A deep dive into the project schedule will allow us to interpolate the results of the communications review into the project workflow. Using the insight gained from the review and analysis of the project schedule, we will produce an impacted schedule to demonstrate the validity of the findings.
  • Review and Analize Project Documentation.
    Another tool that is helpful with the process is the review of field documents including Daily Construction Reports, RFI Logs and Change Order Logs. These tools help to establish the magnitude of the disruptions.

The rates for our claims management services are:

  • Base Rate for Communications Review including one revision is $4,750. Additional revisions are $975 ea.
  • A package rate of our Communications Review plus five revisions is $7,500. Additional revisions are $975 ea.
  • Hourly rates start at $275/hr. Repeat clients start at $225/hr.
  • Special rates are available for custom packages.
